Another one of Vienna's Kids Goes out into the Big World

Tanya does an amazing job with the kids that come into her barn. They aren't all looking for fame and fortune and that's fine. Everybody gets along, works hard, learns a lot, and has fun. Can one adhere to strict discipline, insist on courtesy at all times, accept nothing but the highest regard for the horses in everything, and still manage to toss in a hardy does of raucous fun? Absolutely! Tanya Rennie proves it day after day in her teaching and management at Vienna Farm in Gorham Maine. She turns out some serious riders who know how to have fun while always respecting themselves, their horses and others. One of them, Ashley F, went off last year to join the team at Hessler Dressage. She is in the team photo on the web site, I just discovered. She's talented and a Sweetie!

So, I stopped by Vienna the other day to pick up meds for Willie and I see a note on the board saying Goodbye from Craig! He's off to the Hesslers Riverside Farm in Chesapeake City, Maryland too. He's going to become a Stallion handler. Very Groovy.

A Neglected Category

I get a bunch of hits on "dreassage" searches. And my Dressage Category button is very low on content. Oops. I don't do much Dressage, though I have been threatening to take some lessons this spring at Vienna Farm. (I love that they used the picture from forever ago of David, my middle child and father of my grandchildren on Flash in the arena when it first went up, for the front page of the site. It was 21 years ago. We both learned to ride there).

Spanish dancers and dancing Stallions. What an idea! At first I thought it was rather silly. But by the time the little girl came out and joined the dance I was starting to get hooked.
