. . . But be smart and beware. This is the only credit card I have used in the past 25 years. Last year in Oct my bucking pony was ill enough to be hospitalized for 4 days to the tune of ~ 2000.00. The local clinic with hospital facilities has an association with Care Credit. It is great if you are cautious and read the fine print. It claims interest free financing for medical / veterinarian needs. And it is, IF you remember two important details: 1) you must pay it off within 12 months--which means you take the amount financed divide by 12 and that is your monthly payment. DO NOT use the payment amount they give you! They are trying to get as much interest out of you as they possibly can. It isn't a non profit organization by any means. If you don't get it paid before the due date of the 12th month you pay the differed interest which is high. 2) You will be slapped with a HEFTY charge if you fail to submit a payment on or before your due date each month. sounds easy but there is a catch. You cannot send Decembers payment during November or it will count only on the November statement even if you already paid that payment and even if your statement said: "amount due = 0". When the due date passes with no payment registered during the month of December, you get charged. But you won't know until you receive your next statement. Then you will be on the phone with their customer care rep who will explain this nasty little detail to you five different ways in broken English. So, don't look at the statements--EXCEPT to read the fine print and get your all important DUE DATE, you already know how much to send because of the simple little division (amount financed x 12) you did at the outset. I just paid off my pony's bill, in the nick of time, and only got slapped once with that "late" fee.
