I took my first compass class. It was along with a group of hunter's at the rod and gun clubhouse in Lyman. I learned a lot. I can't wait to have time to go out and play around with some of it and get questions answered as they come up. I may never need to re-locate a slain deer that I couldn't manage to drag out of the woods. But I could have to leave an injured horse of fellow rider to go for help. I am fortunate to have a back woods orienteering Guru just down the hall here at work. Next step is to pick a date for the first Red Pony Farm Orienteering class.
